RSA campers choose a “major” from our signature sports and work closely with expert coaches for approximately five hours per day, developing individual and team skills crucial to a player’s growth. Time is also devoted to agility, speed, and conditioning to ensure that RSA athletes are strong, fit, and confident when the game is on the line.

Basketball

From fourth grader to varsity athlete, RSA basketball players see their game improve in all areas. Through the use of skill stations, individualized instruction, and team play, our expert coaching staff provides an opportunity for all RSA ballplayers to reach their potential – as individuals and as team players. In addition to team and league competition, RSA ballplayers have the option to participate in skills challenges, free-throw contests, 3-on-3 competitions, and other activities to demonstrate their new skills.

 

Baseball

RSA baseball athletes focus on many facets of the game, with particular emphasis on proper fundamentals in hitting, fielding and base running. In addition, our expert coaching staff concentrate on position-specific skill building. Whether you play in the field, on the mound, or behind the plate, RSA baseball has you covered from every corner of the diamond.

 

Soccer

From casual recreational player to the elite club athlete, RSA campers are challenged by our expert coaching staff to train hard and improve their skills as they appreciate the many philosophies that make soccer “the beautiful game.” Our coaches focus on ball control and first touch, shooting and finishing, passing techniques and proper spacing, as well as sound individual and team defensive positioning. In addition, RSA coaches provide individual goalkeeping training and other position-specific instruction.

 

Swimming

RSA swimmers hone their skills in the pool and in the open water of the Long Island Sound through various workouts, interval training, and stroke technique work. Proper starts from the block, faster turns, and efficient strokes are emphasized. RSA’s expert swimming coaches utilize performance analysis and teach the latest racing strategies to help swimmers achieve their personal best times.

 

Tennis

At RSA, our sports instruction is taught by ability level in addition to age. Beginner tennis players focus on fundamental tennis skills including the correct mechanics of each stroke and proper court positioning, while tournament players refine their stroke efficiency, power, game strategy and match play skills. Athletes will display proper character and sportsmanship on and off the tennis court. All RSA tennis players will develop and nurture a passion and love for the game of tennis – “the sport of a lifetime.”

Girls Volleyball

New for 2019, RSA is excited to introduce Girls Volleyball. Our campers will develop and improve their skills under the guidance of our experienced and passionate coaches. Volleyball players will strive to master the fundamentals and proper mechanics while gaining valuable game play experience. Practices will focus on hitting & approaches, passing & ball control, serving techniques, blocking fundamentals, court awareness, and defensive positioning.
